The bent row, not just for bodybuilders anymore.
Workout of the Day
10ea DB 1-Arm Press (AHAP)
10ea DB 1-Arm Bent-Over Row (AHAP)
30sec. Oblique Pillar
Then, after 5 minutes rest…
Row 2000m for time
Today’s dumbbell/kb work was done in a unilateral fashion, meaning one side is working while the other is stabilizing or resting. This work is beneficial for a number of reasons but maybe the most relatable to your life is that you spend most of your day working in this fashion. Pick up something heavy with one hand, step up on a ledge, start the lawnmower, etc. The core work is also more challenging once the supporting limbs are fatigued, which is why that came at the end.
The 2k row was in there because you need it. We all need it. That seven minute-ish suffer fest that is a 2K row will last you metabolically, mentally and physically for the rest of the day.
