Workout of the Day

I’m very happy and slightly suprised to see anyone show up for today’s workout. I hear people whine when we write 20 burpees on the white board, so it just goes to show how supportive you good people are for a great cause.
Every day for the last year poor Daniel Lawson has rolled out of bed knowing that he has a mountain of burpees ahead of him. As the months wore on, his decision to add one burpee a day transitioned from something you’d do for fun (10 reps), to a full warm up (50 reps), into a legitimate workout (100 reps), and on and on until it becomes a very serious commitment. I’m glad we were able to get just a slight dose of what he experienced, although I think just 365 reps in one day doesn’t even begin to convey the kind of work required to complete 66,000+ reps in a year.
Daniel set out to do this to support Mammograms in Action, an organization closely tied with our own. Remember when we did it for Sue? Same people. So, if you can donate a bit to their cause, even a buck it will go a long way in the effort to save human lives. Please learn more about Mammograms in Action and their various programs HERE.
