Three months ago Katie didn’t have a single pull-up in her fitness bag to speak of. Not one. Three months later and she’s stringing eight together. In only 50 training days in the gym (5 days a week, 3 months) she’s overcome one of the biggest (self imposed) hurdles females face in the gym, the pull-up.
Think YOU can’t do a pull-up? Bullshit. What are you waiting for?
Then, after 5 minutes rest…
5 Rounds, not timed of:
Max rep thruster at 65% body weight followed immediately by max rep pull-ups.
I saw quite a few great efforts today, though I was only around for the 5 o’clock. A few things I noticed:
Carmen – You stepped up to that rower ready to beat your last 500 time and you gave it everything you had and were rewarded with a big PR. You too are doing things now that you probably thought impossible three months ago. You’re amazing.
Lesley – Just like Carmen, you too came ready to play. That pain you felt during the last 300m of that row is nothing in comparison to the gains we’ve seen in your fitness. Well worth the sacrifice. Keep up the good work.
