Workout of the Day
Every 2 minutes:
2 Power Cleans
1 Squat Clean
2 Front Squats
1 Push Press
Then, after 5 minutes rest…
Tabata: Pull-ups, Push-ups
This complex comes from Mike Cahill and was a different experience for all involved. If you’re still trying to get the hang of the clean today was a good opportunity to work the motion with reasonable weight. It’s important to note that not all workouts need be some total burner, in fact, I’d say that if you’re willing to take a step back sometime and just work on things you’re bound to elicit more intensity down the road when you need to do the movement for time. The clean and snatch are two perfect examples.
I think it’s critical to develop a relationship with these lifts. If i had to choose only one exercise for the rest of my life (how horrible) I’d probably take the clean. Not coincidentally, it would take me that same amount of time to get comfortable with it; it’s an Olympic sport, after all.

Proof that we actually make the recipes that we post. Tonight’s leftovers is the Crockpot Thai Curry Chicken we posted a on Saturday. If you’re going to make this, include some pineapple about an hour before it’s done. Top with some fresh cilantro and a few slices of avocado. Delish!
