With remaining time, complete as many “Games” style push-ups as possible.
Ahhh stamina, how quickly we remember it’s importance when there is only one movement in a workout. There’s nothing a big guy hates to see more on the whiteboard than a 5k, conversely there’s no more a frightening thing than gymnastics to the lithe runner. What we like about workouts like this is that they can equalize the opportunity for both to excel, or fail. Improve the stamina/strength/endurance of the gymnastic skill of pushing too much and the upper body becomes burdened with muscles useless in the pursuit of running; chase down that elusive sub-17 min 5k run and there’s a good chance your upper body won’t support too many push-ups.
Let’s try and be good at both, shall we?
