Ugh… today was one of those days. I got to the gym feeling really anxious, almost kind of sick to my stomach. The IWT today was especially hard. I have gotten used to having a 2 minute rest between rounds, and 1 minute went by far too fast! I held my split times on the erg for the first part of the workout, but struggled to keep my pace at 2:00 on the last 2 rounds… I would go up to 2:05, then back down, but all in all, stayed pretty close, within a few meters. The KB clean and jerks were painful. I am assuming that Steve intended them to be squat cleans, since he didn’t write “power” in front of them, but I did one and had this feeling that if I didn’t at least do power cleans, I was going to give up. My legs were so dead, and I was feeling not very bad-assish at the moment. I almost cried, but I got through it though and did the best I could.

I managed to squeeze in a little nap this afternoon before my second workout, which I unfortunately had to get up from. I really don’t want to sound like a whiny little girl, but I did not want to do these 30/30’s at all! (Let’s face it, I never do… I strongly dislike the things). However, I did them, though they were not my best. I had a hard time hitting my numbers… not so much because of my cardio, but because my legs were so darn tired! For my second set, I didn’t look at the monitor, just my watch, which helped actually and I did a bit better. Tomorrow is a new day 🙂
