Hey! So, I didn’t really know what to write today. It’s been kind of an off day for me… not necessarily in a bad way, but just not my usual self. In fact, I haven’t really felt my usual self for probably a couple of weeks now. Don’t know what to make of this, so I’m just rolling with it for now.
I was at the gym during all of the evening classes tonight, and even though I wasn’t coaching the group classes, I did watch for a bit and a couple of people really stood out to me. I won’t say their names just in case they wouldn’t want me to, but both people have been coming to the gym very consistently, working hard, and have made some big changes in their diets, which I know has been difficult. For whatever reason, I really noticed tonight how great they look and could see a different energy in them. I remember each of these people when they started at CFCM and they have clearly been making the most of their time. It was really inspiring and reminded me why I love doing what I do. Seeing people become more confident in themselves is a beautiful thing.

So, I ended up doing the games workout again yesterday morning… the Snatch one. I got 4 more reps than my first attempt… which made for 6 reps total at 100 pounds. I was pretty happy with myself. I had decided that I really wanted to get at least 65 reps total, and knew I was capable of it, but was still a little nervous that my body might quit on me. I was looking back at my journal from a year ago and my max snatch was 83 pounds. Big improvements in the last year! Feels good. The hubs did 12.2 again too, and got 7 more reps than his first attempt, for a total of 53. 23 of those were at a heavier weight than he’d ever snatched before… what a stud 🙂
