Today, I did two pretty tough workouts, which I’m not writing out because it’s too much stuff and I’m being lazy 😉 I did my first workout with J (Jason), and my goal was just to stay with him… and his was to stay with me, so we pushed each other pretty well. We finished at the same time, but he went a little too far on his second 400m run, which helped me a lot. We rested for a little while, then did another workout. The goal on this one was just to move though at a fast pace, but not sprint. It was tough, but fun. The rest of the day was more practice on various gymnastic skills. I worked on the bar muscle up for a bit, and got down to the purple band. It’s kind of fun 🙂
My second workout today was a very easy 30 minute row. I pulled the erg out in the sunshine and rowed out there. I love this weather. Love it! I also got a 20 minute ice bath in today, and 20 minute meditation. My mind wandered in the meditation a lot, but I know this is just part of it… definitely takes practice.
7:30am: Coffee w/ cream, almond butter (I don’t necessarily recommend eating almond butter for breakfast… but it’s been my routine lately. My appetite in the morning has been real low, so I’m going with it).
1pm: Leftover turkey chili (thanks to Liz!!) with 1 avocado. A few almonds.
3pm: Protein shake.
8pm: Cafe Rio (thanks again to Liz)–Salad w/ pulled pork, tomatoes, guac, little cheese, cilantro dressing. 1/2 tortilla. If you haven’t had the salad at Cafe Rio, I highly recommend it. I was a little hesitant at first, but it’s real good!
8:30pm: 3 dates, more almond butter, peppermint tea.
I’m thinking about quitting CrossFit, and doing this instead… haha!
