Workout of the Day
Then, after 5 minutes rest…
3x 1-6 Pull-ups
3x 1-6 Squats
The rack jerk is the best way to put weight from shoulder position, to overhead. The back “platform” creates a really nice launching point for weight as the load is rested on the spine and relies on the support of your midline for trajectory. We practice this lift because it is both gratifying (as long as you did well with it) and because we will one day need it, whether it’s launching a load overhead in a competition, or hoisting our children off our shoulders. Learn it, use it.
Dec 31st – 10am ONLY
Don’t forget, we have only one workout this coming Saturday, 10am. This video will explain why we are doing this special event. Don’t worry, you don’t have to do all the burpees by yourself, they can be done in a group if you’d like. Please come out and support this great cause.
January 1st – 2pm ONLY
We will gather to ring in the new year this Sunday with one class at 2pm. We pushed it to the afternoon in an effort to give you time to shake off the bubbly from our New Year’s Eve party.
