Today marked the beginning of our return to the 2011 CrossFit Games Open. We’re giving these workouts another shot to remind ourselves (and our bodies) of what the process was like last year. As we approach the 2012 Open it will be important to think about the process of gaming, these next 6 weeks will help with that. Go into Friday workouts with the competitive mindset, and evaluate where you are and how far you’ve come. Also consider what it means to properly “game” a workout, meaning creating a plan ahead of time and following that plan when the heart rate hits the roof. This mentality isn’t necessary for most workouts, but will serve you well in competition and is necessary at the very highest levels of our sport.
Bring a Buddy WOD – Wednesday, December 8, 7:00pm
Our last bring a buddy WOD was a total success, so we decided to have another one this coming Wednesday night. Please bring your friends, relatives, or anyone else you’ve been trying to coax through our doors here about 15 minutes early so we can get a waiver signed and get to know them better.
