This morning I was reading this passage from Ecclesiastes, which I’m 99% certain I have posted on my blog before (so, I’m sorry if this ends up being redundant). Anyway, it says this…
It has been in my mind most of the day, and earlier at the gym I was watching my friend Keeta as she was doing muscle-ups. She has been eating clean the past several weeks and working hard in the gym, and it shows… clearly. As I watched her, I thought to myself, “Enough. Time for change.” I don’t know what this means exactly, but I wrote it in my workout journal and something about it pushed me a little harder in the parts of my workout that followed. While I meant it with regards to my training, I also meant it in life in general.
Change can be so hard and scary, but sometimes it is necessary to take us to where we really want to go. It can be all too easy to let small desires and instant gratifications get in the way of our much bigger goal… whatever that may be. My hope today is that I have the strength and courage to change the things that need changing and to keep an open heart and mind.
And, since it’s Valentines Day, and I absolutely love stupid jokes, here is one for ya…
What do you call a very small Valentine?
Wait for it…
Pretty good, I know.
I hope that you feel loved today.
