Liz and I met with Coach Max today at 4pm. We did the group workout, but got to spend some extra time working on our Sumo Deadlift High Pulls (SDHP) and Snatch.

Then, for time:
Snatch & Hand Stand Pushups
Since we couldn’t do legit handstand pushups we used 3 abmats under our head and had to do extra. So we did 15 snatch @ 53#/20 HSPU, 10 snatch/15 HSPU and 5 snatch/10 HSPU.
I finished in 6:05. I enjoy doing snatches, especially when they’re not too heavy and I can go fast. I also liked doing HSPU to 3 abmats. This was a first. Usually I do them with band assistance or from a box. It feels good to be getting closer and closer to doing a real HSPU. Someday!
8:30am 1 egg, 1/2 chicken and apple sausage, 1 cheese wedge, coffee with 1/3 cup almond milk
12:30pm same taco salad as yesterday except my avocados were still hard so I had to eat a tsp. of almond butter instead for my fat
3:30pm technically I was supposed to eat another meal at 4:30, but since I was working out at 4, I had a protein shake. Day 2 and I’ve already broken a rule. I’m only supposed to have 1 protein shake a day and it is supposed to be post workout. Oops! I just can’t eat real food right before a workout and I thought it was better to get those calories in somehow. I may be wrong on that. I’ll have to ask coach.

It’s only 6:45, but I plan to eat again around 8:30/9 and I will have the exact same dinner as last night. I already have the leftovers measured out in the fridge in my fancy new tupperware I bought at Costco yesterday! 😉
Today’s bra is completely random, but actually one of my faves. It’s Danskin and it’s from Walmart of all places! I bought it in a 2-pack last summer when we briefly lived in Lewiston. It was rough not having a Target to shop at for 2 months, but you can’t beat $10 for a 2-pack! Chris asked me last night what I was going to do when I ran out of sports bras. I told him I guess I’ll just have to buy more or I’ll at least start sharing cute ones that I want to buy.
As I type this I’m starting to notice that my traps and starting to feel really sore! I’m sure tomorrow will be worse. I really expected my legs to be sore today after yesterday’s med ball cleans/wall balls. I’m happy to report that they are feeling pretty good. Again, tomorrow could be another story. I often get delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) about 2 days later.
